Hotel Boutique Quinta Camacho

Yes, if you want a cheap four-star base in Chapinero close to the Zona G restaurants. It is a weaker fit if your plan is mostly sightseeing in the historic centre, which is a long way off.

This is our Budget pick for Bogotá, and an unusual one: an official four-star hotel at a budget price. It suits couples, solo travellers and families who want to eat out in Chapinero and do not mind travelling to the old town. The property lists a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, a garden and a terrace. The data tags it as pet-friendly; check the rules and any fee with the hotel.
Skip it if your days will be spent around La Candelaria and Plaza de Bolívar. Our Best Value pick sits much closer to those sights for only a few euros more. Light sleepers should also note the comment about street sounds below.
Location and getting around
The address is 68-37 Carrera 12 in Chapinero. Guests rate the location 9.2 out of 10 and describe a safe, central district near Zona G restaurants and cafes, with public transport links nearby.
The classic sights are far. The Gold Museum is about 5.9 km away, roughly 74 minutes on foot. The Primatial Cathedral and Plaza de Bolívar are each about 6.4 km, around 80 minutes. Plan on public transport or a taxi for all three. These walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The 8.6 score comes from 811 reviews. Besides the location, staff get warm comments: a friendly, attentive team, available around the clock, who help with luggage and give local advice.
The main drawback is noise. The hotel is on a calm street, but some guests say outside sounds can occasionally be heard inside. Breakfast options listed are continental, American and breakfast to go.
Price and how it compares with our other Bogotá picks
The reference price was €38.35 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room. That is about €77 for both nights and 66% below the €114.09 median of the hotels we compared. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, ibis Bogota Museo, was €46.84 a night with an 8.5 score and is far closer to the museums. Our Luxury pick, Cassa Luxury Homes, was €181.66 with a 9.4. Quinta Camacho is the cheapest of the three and slightly outscores the ibis, so the choice between them comes down to which part of the city you want to wake up in.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 14 eligible hotels in Bogotá. After setting aside an upscale choice, Quinta Camacho had the lowest eligible reference price. It pairs that with an 8.6 score, four official stars and a 9.2 location score, which is a strong package for the money.
