By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
It is worth booking if location and a generous breakfast matter most to you, with guests rating the spot on the river promenade 9.6 out of 10. On our reference dates, though, it cost more than our Luxury pick, so compare prices for your dates before you commit.

This is our Best Value pick for Travemünde. It suits travellers arriving by train, couples who want to step out to shops and restaurants, and families, since family rooms are listed. Our data also flags it as pet friendly, but check the conditions with the hotel.
Skip it if you want a long list of facilities. The property lists only family rooms, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk among its features. Light sleepers and anyone who needs a large room should read the notes on room size below.
Location and getting around
The address is Vorderreihe 52. Guests give the location 9.6 out of 10, the strongest part of this hotel's profile.
Reviewers describe a central setting on the river promenade, near shops, restaurants and the train station. Our data has no verified walking times to specific sights, so check a map for the places you plan to visit.
What guests say
The score is 8.5 out of 10 from 1,351 reviews. That placed it joint 3rd by review score among the 5 eligible properties we compared.
Location and breakfast lead the praise. Breakfast is a buffet, and guests mention a wide variety of fresh food served in a winter garden or terrace area.
Room size is the mixed point. Many guests call the rooms spacious and comfortable, but a few units are considered small. If space matters, check the room category carefully before you book.
Price and how it compares with our other Travemünde picks
The reference price was €135 a night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, so about €270 in total. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Here is the honest catch. Our Budget pick, aja Travemünde, was €131 a night with a score of 8.2 and 4 stars. Our Luxury pick, ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Travemünde, was €126.42 with 8.7 and 5 stars. On those dates the Luxury pick was cheaper and scored higher. Prices in a small resort shift a lot by date, so compare all three for your stay.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible properties in Travemünde. Our Best Value pick balances guest score, number of reviews and price, and is not necessarily the cheapest. Deutscher Kaiser has the largest review base of the three picks and the top location score. Its rate matched the sample median of €135.
