Who it suits and who should skip it

This is our Luxury pick for Fátima. It suits pilgrims and visitors who want to be very close to the Sanctuary and the basilicas, plus families: the property lists family rooms and is tagged as pet-friendly. It also lists a restaurant, a garden, a terrace, air conditioning and free parking.

Skip it if you are counting every euro. Our Best Value pick sits in the same category of four stars, scored 9.3 and cost far less on our reference dates. There is no five-star hotel among our picks here, so do not expect a full luxury resort.

Location and getting around

The address is Rua de Santo António, nr 79. The location score is 9.8 out of 10, among the highest we see.

Our straight-line estimates put the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity 0.3 km away, about 4 minutes on foot. The Sanctuary of Fátima and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary are each 0.4 km, about 5 minutes. For most visitors that means no car or taxi is needed once you arrive.

These walking times are estimates, not measured routes. Public transport links are not confirmed in our data, so check how you will get to Fátima from your arrival point.

What guests say

The hotel scores 9.2 out of 10 from 3,763 reviews, a very large base that makes the score dependable. Our data does not include a written summary of specific guest likes or dislikes for this hotel, so we cannot tell you which aspects guests praise most or what they complain about.

What the numbers do show: the overall score is high and the location rating of 9.8 is exceptional. Read a sample of recent reviews yourself, focusing on room condition, noise on busy pilgrimage days and breakfast.

Breakfast is listed as American and buffet style. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.

Price and how it compares with our other Fátima picks

The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was €104 per night, against a sample median of €74. These are reference prices, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.

Our Budget pick, Coração de Fatima Boutique Hotel, was €52.80 a night with an 8.9 score and three stars. Our Best Value pick, Hotel Regina, was €63.45 with a 9.3 score and four stars. Hotel Santa Maria costs about €40 more per night than Hotel Regina for a slightly lower score. You pay for the listed garden, terrace and family rooms and the top location rating.

Why it made our top 3

We compared 13 eligible properties in Fátima. This hotel shared second place by review score. Our Luxury slot prioritises five-star hotels, and a four-star fallback must score at least 8.5. With four official stars and a 9.2, it clears that bar easily.

The combination of a high score, a very large number of reviews and a 9.8 location rating made it the clear upscale choice.

Before you book

Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Since there is no guest summary in our data, read recent reviews before you commit.

If you are travelling with a pet, confirm the pet policy and any fee directly with the hotel. Check that free parking is available for your dates, as Fátima can be busy around major pilgrimage dates.
