This is our Budget pick in Bergamo. It suits travellers on a tight budget who will be out most of the day and need a simple, quiet room. Family rooms are listed, and pets are allowed.
It is a 1-star property with a 7.7 guest score, the lowest in the local sample. If comfort and polish matter more than saving money, look at our other two picks.
Location and getting around
The address is VIA DELLO STATUTO, 23, 24128 Bergamo, Italy. Guests describe a quiet area within walking distance of the Upper Town and city centre. The location score is 8.2.
Santa Maria Maggiore and Bergamo Cathedral are both 0.8 km away, about 10 minutes on foot. Teatro Donizetti is 1.4 km, about 18 minutes.
These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified, so the real walk may take longer. Check the route before you set out.
What guests say
The guest score is 7.7 out of 10 from 2,961 reviews. It placed 21st of 21 eligible properties on review score, so this is the weakest rating in the sample.
Guests do like some things. The quiet location within reach of the Upper Town comes up often. Staff are described as friendly and polite, and helpful with luggage and local information.
Breakfast is the main complaint. The buffet leans towards sweet items and cakes, lacks savoury options and limits hot drinks.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were €57.44 per night. The sample median was €146.00, so this was about 61% below. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Locanda Mimmo, our Best Value pick, has no official star rating listed, a score of 9.2 and a price of €135.00 per night. Petronilla - Hotel In Bergamo, our Luxury pick, is a 4-star hotel scored 9.4 at €224.00 per night.
The gap is large in both directions. You save about €78 per night against Locanda Mimmo, but you also give up 1.5 points of guest score. For many travellers on a budget, that saving across a few nights is the deciding factor.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 21 eligible hotels in Bergamo. After reserving the upscale choice, Albergo 900 had the lowest reference price among the rest.
It is here for its price and its walkable position, not its score. We would rather tell you that plainly.
Before you book
Breakfast is listed as Italian, but whether your rate includes it has not been checked. If you prefer savoury food in the morning, plan to eat elsewhere.
Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Given the low score, read recent reviews closely. Check pet fees and restaurant opening times for your dates.
