AC Hotel by Marriott Worcester
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want the most central and only 4-star hotel among our Worcester picks, close to bars, concert venues and the train station. Skip it if you are driving and need free parking, or if breakfast is a priority, since guests often find the buffet poorly stocked.

Couples, concert-goers and train travellers are the natural fit. Guests say the hotel is central and walkable to downtown restaurants, bars, the train station and concert venues, and they praise how clean the rooms and common areas are.
Drivers should note that free parking is not listed in our data. Anyone who counts on a good hotel breakfast should also be careful: the buffet draws the main complaints. If you want the best guest score in town for less money, our Budget pick scores 8.9 at about €57 a night less, but it is far from the centre.
Location and getting around
The address is 125 Front Street. By straight-line estimate, the Cathedral of Saint Paul is about 0.5 km away, roughly 6 minutes on foot, and the Worcester Art Museum about 1.3 km, roughly 16 minutes. This is the closest of our three Worcester picks to the cathedral.
Guests rate the location 9.4 out of 10, the best location score among our picks in the city. They mention restaurants, bars, the train station and concert venues as all within walking distance.
What guests say
The score is 8.7 out of 10 from 306 reviews, sharing 3rd place among the 4 eligible hotels we compared. It has the most reviews of our three picks, so the score is well supported.
Two themes stand out in the praise. The location is central and walkable, and cleanliness is strong, with rooms and common areas described as spotless and tidy.
Breakfast is where it falls down. Guests describe buffet trays that are often empty or hold dried-out food, and say service is sometimes unavailable. For a hotel at this price, that is worth weighing.
Price and what you get, compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, put the AC Hotel at €228.66 a night, about €457 for two nights. That is above the sample median of €194.89. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, Homewood Suites By Hilton Worcester, was €209.03 a night with an 8.8 and is also central. Our Budget pick, Residence Inn Worcester, was €172.09 a night with an 8.9 but is around 43 minutes on foot from the art museum. Here the extra money mostly buys the 4-star rating and the most central position.
Listed facilities are a gym, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The breakfast is listed as Continental, vegetarian, vegan and American. Opening times and any fees must be checked.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 4 eligible properties in Worcester. For our Luxury slot, five-star hotels come first, and a four-star fallback must score at least 8.5. The AC Hotel is officially rated 4 stars and scores 8.7, so it qualified.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. A central spot near bars and venues may be noisy at night; ask for a quiet room if that matters to you.
Parking is not confirmed, so ask about options and prices before you arrive by car. Pets appear in the listing tags; check the policy and fees if you bring one.
