This hotel makes most sense for travellers with a car, families who want a pool and anyone who values a good breakfast before a day out. Guests describe tidy, well-kept rooms that smell fresh, and they like the hot breakfast with eggs and waffles.
Walkers and city-centre sightseers should look elsewhere. Our Best Value pick, Embassy Suites By Hilton Madison Downtown, is the obvious alternative if you want to be central and can pay about twice as much.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at 516 Grand Canyon Drive, with a location score of 8.6 out of 10. The listed sights are all far: the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is about 9 km away, Saint Raphael's Cathedral 9.1 km and Gates of Heaven Synagogue 9.5 km, each close to two hours on foot by straight-line estimate.
In practice you will need a car, public transport or a taxi to reach them. Free parking is listed, which makes driving the easy option.
What guests say
The score is 8.3 out of 10 from 759 reviews, a large sample. Among the 13 properties we compared it placed 11th, so the score is decent rather than standout.
Breakfast and cleanliness get the most praise: a hot, varied spread and rooms that are consistently clean. The pool and hot tub area draws mixed comments. The indoor space is warm, but some guests found it crowded or found the chlorine smell strong.
Price and what you get compared with our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were about €69.38 per night, roughly €139 for both nights. The sample median was €127.97, so this was about 46% lower. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
The listing shows a gym, an indoor pool, free parking, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace. Breakfast type and inclusion are not confirmed in our data, although guest comments are positive. Embassy Suites By Hilton Madison Downtown, our Best Value pick, was €139.65 with a 9.4 score. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Madison, WI, our Luxury pick, was €93.51 with an 8.9 score, only about €24 more per night in our sample.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 13 eligible properties in Madison. After setting aside the upscale choice, AmericInn had the lowest reference price, which earns the Budget slot. A pool, a breakfast guests rate and a big review base make it more than just the cheapest option.
Before you book
Confirm whether breakfast is included in your rate and check pool and hot tub hours, since opening times are not confirmed. If you travel with a pet, ask about the policy and fees, as our data has no detail.
Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Given the small gap to our Luxury pick in the sample, compare both on today's prices.
