What guests say
Beach Hotel Swakopmund scores 8.3 out of 10 from 452 reviews. Guests value the walkable location and the staff, who are described as friendly and professional, giving helpful advice and warm service.
Breakfast gets mixed comments. The hot dishes are tasty, but the buffet lacks variety and fresh fruit. Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €214.03 per night, about €428 for two nights. It is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote, and above the sample median of €179.78 per night. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Swakopmund Plaza Hotel, was €139.12 per night with 8.0 and 3 stars. Our Luxury pick, Bay View Resort Hotel Namibia, was €179.78 per night with 8.7 and 4 stars. On those dates Beach Hotel Swakopmund cost about €75 a night more than the Plaza and about €34 a night more than Bay View, which scored higher. That is an unusual result, and rates change, so compare all three for your own dates.
Breakfast styles listed are Continental, Full English/Irish, vegetarian, buffet and breakfast to go. Whether breakfast is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible properties were compared in Swakopmund, so the field is small. This hotel was joint 2nd on review score. Our Best Value slot weighs score, number of reviews and price, and its 452 reviews and 9.2 location score count in its favour. It is not the cheapest option, and on our dates it was not the cheapest of our picks either.
Before you book
Compare today's prices at all three of our Swakopmund picks. Confirm whether breakfast is included and, if fresh fruit matters to you, ask what is served. Check pool hours. Then decide whether the walkable beachfront address is worth the difference.
