Yes, it is good value if you want a well-rated 3-star base in Akpakpa for much less than the city median, with free parking and family rooms listed. Skip it if you need to be within walking distance of the central sights, or if you are booking mainly for a beach, which is not confirmed.

This is our Budget pick in Cotonou. It suits couples, families and travellers with a car who want a solid score without paying central-hotel prices. The property lists a restaurant, free parking, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace.
Despite the name, do not assume a beachfront room. A beach appears among the provider's facilities, but that does not confirm the hotel sits on the beach or how far away the sand is.
Travellers who want to walk to the cathedral or the old bridge should look elsewhere, as both are far on foot.
Location in Akpakpa and getting around
The address is Carré 93 Finangnon, Zone des Ambassades Akpakpa, Cotonou, Republic of Bénin. Guests rate the location 8.7 out of 10.
The Ancien Pont is about 4.1 km away, roughly 51 minutes on foot. Cotonou Cathedral is about 4.3 km, around 54 minutes. Both are far, so you will need a taxi or public transport for sightseeing.
These walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified. Free parking is listed, which helps if you are driving.
What guests say
The score is 8.7 out of 10 from 52 reviews, joint second among the 8 eligible hotels we compared in Cotonou. That is a strong result, but 52 reviews is a fairly small sample.
We have no summary of what guests like or dislike here. That means we cannot tell you how the staff, the rooms or the continental breakfast are rated. Read recent reviews closely, especially for noise, room condition and anything about the beach.
A smaller review base means a few recent stays can shift the score, so the newest comments deserve the most weight.
Price and how it compares with our other Cotonou picks
The reference price was €66.31 per night, about €133 for two nights. This is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
The sample median was €105.20, so this rate was 37% below it. Our Best Value pick, Hotel Du Lac, was €113 per night with the same 8.7 score and 3 stars. Our Luxury pick, Sofitel Cotonou Marina Hotel & Spa, was €327.10 per night with 9.0 and 5 stars.
The comparison with Hotel Du Lac is striking. Same star level, same score, and this hotel was about €47 cheaper per night on our reference dates. Location and room type may justify the difference, so compare both for your trip.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Cotonou. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice is set aside, and this hotel took it at €66.31.
Pairing that price with an 8.7 score, tied for second in the group, made it an easy fit for the Budget place.
