This is our Budget pick for Leicester. It fits drivers, because the property lists free parking, and families, since family rooms are listed too. Travellers who want a restaurant and a terrace on site will find both on the facility list.
It is a weaker fit if you want a full picture of what guests praise or criticise. Our data for this hotel has no summary of guest likes or dislikes, only the score. If that bothers you, the Best Value pick costs less than one euro more per night.
Location and getting around
The hotel is on De Montfort St. Guests give the location 9.4 out of 10, a strong mark. The site of the exhumation and reburial of Richard III of England is about 1 km away, roughly 13 minutes on foot. Leicester Castle is about 1.2 km, around 15 minutes.
Kirby Muxloe Castle is about 7 km away, which is around 88 minutes on foot. That is far: plan on public transport or a taxi. All walking times here are straight-line estimates and have not been verified, so check a map for the real route.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.6 out of 10 across 3,621 reviews, a large sample. That score shared position 5 of 8 eligible properties in our Leicester sample, so others rated higher.
Beyond the score, our data does not include a summary of what guests liked or disliked. We will not guess. Read a handful of recent reviews on the booking page and look for comments on room size, noise and breakfast before you decide.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €98.37 per night, about €196.74 for two nights. It is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
That was 34% below the sample median of €148.63. Our Best Value pick, The Gresham Aparthotel, was €99.14 per night with an 8.7 score, so the gap is tiny. Our Luxury pick, St Martins Lodge, was €145.72 with 9.2. If the Gresham costs the same on your dates, compare the two closely; free parking listed here may decide it if you drive.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Leicester. After setting aside the upscale choice, this hotel had the lowest eligible reference price, and it still holds 4 stars and an 8.6 score from thousands of reviews. That mix of price and a large review base earned it the Budget slot.
