Berti Hotel - Mulhouse Centre Gare

Yes, this is a sensible booking for travellers who want a short walk to the train station and the city centre at a mid-range price. Skip it if a large room matters to you, because guests describe room sizes very differently.

Rail travellers are the obvious fit. Guests say the station and the centre are both a short walk away, and they describe the street as quiet. That combination is useful if you arrive late or leave early.
The property lists family rooms, a restaurant, a garden and a terrace, and its tags include pets, air conditioning and breakfast. Families and people with a dog may find it practical, but confirm the pet policy and any fee before you book.
Who should look elsewhere? Anyone who needs plenty of floor space. Some guests found their room generous, others called it cramped, so the room type you pick matters.
Location and getting around
The address is 3 rue de l'Est. The location score from guests is 9.2, which is high.
By our straight-line estimates, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Mulhouse and the Temple Saint-Étienne are both about 0.5 km away, roughly 6 minutes on foot. The Cité de l'Automobile is 2.2 km away, around 28 minutes walking. That is still walkable for most people, though in poor weather you may prefer public transport or a taxi.
These walking times are estimates and have not been checked on the ground. Use a map app for your real route.
What guests say
The score is 8.7 out of 10 from 2,123 reviews, a large enough base to take seriously.
Two things come up most in praise. First, the location: close to the station and the centre, yet quiet. Second, the staff, described as friendly and professional, with a warm and personal welcome.
The main complaint is room size. Feedback is split, with some units spacious and others tight. Noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed, so read recent reviews for those points.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was about €82 a night. That figure comes from a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your own dates.
Our Budget pick, Appart'City Confort Mulhouse, came in at about €71.80 a night with a score of 8.1. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Bristol, was about €118.62 a night with a score of 8.9 and 4 stars.
So this 3-star hotel costs roughly €10 more per night than the Budget option but scores 0.6 points higher. Against Hotel Bristol you save around €37 per night for a score only 0.2 points lower. Breakfast is listed as continental and buffet; whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible properties in Mulhouse. This one shared second place on guest score, and its reference price sat about 6% below the sample median.
It is our Best Value choice. That label weighs guest score, number of reviews and price together. It does not mean it is the cheapest hotel in town.
Before you book
Check the room size in the listing and pick a larger category if space matters. Confirm whether breakfast is included and what it costs if not.
If you travel with a pet, ask about rules and fees. Garden, terrace and restaurant availability and opening times should be checked for your dates. Read the cancellation terms before paying.
