Yes, book it if you want a 4-star on the seafront promenade in Menton at a reference price that was actually below our other two picks. If you travel with a lot of luggage, ask for a larger room, since some units feel tight.

It suits couples and families who want to be on the sea in Menton, with a flat walk or a short bus ride to the centre. Family rooms are listed, and the property is tagged as pet friendly, though pet rules are not confirmed. A gym, a garden and a terrace are also listed.
Skip it if you mainly want to explore Monaco on foot: the Monaco sights in our data are more than 80 minutes away walking. And if room space matters a lot, read the room details closely, because some rooms are small.
Location and getting around
The address is 4, avenue du Général de Gaulle. Guests say the hotel sits directly on the seafront promenade, with a flat walk or short bus ride to the centre of Menton. The location score is 8.9.
The nearby sights in our data are all in Monaco. The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is about 6.4 km away, roughly 80 minutes on foot; the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate about 6.6 km, around 83 minutes; and the Prince's Palace of Monaco about 6.7 km, around 84 minutes. These are straight-line estimates. All three are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.9 out of 10 from 2,470 reviews, joint third of the 8 eligible properties we compared. Guests highlight the seafront position and a friendly, professional team that gives a warm welcome and helpful service.
Room size is the recurring weak point. Some units are spacious, but others feel tight, with limited floor space for suitcases. Our data does not say which room types are larger.
Price and how it compares with our other Menton picks
The reference price was €81.66 per night, about €163 for two nights. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. The sample median was €93.76, so it came in about 13% below. Check today's price for your dates.
An unusual detail: in this sample it was cheaper than both our other picks. Our Budget pick, Best Western Hotel Mediterranee Menton, was €84.66 per night with an 8.3 score and 3 stars. Our Best Value pick, Hôtel Gabriel, was €86.46 with a 9.5 score and 3 stars. Prices on the coast move a lot with the season, so this order may not hold on your dates.
Listed facilities include beachfront access, a gym, family rooms, air conditioning, a garden, a terrace and free WiFi. Breakfast is American and buffet; inclusion in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Menton. Our Luxury slot prefers 5-star hotels, and a 4-star can only take it with a score of at least 8.5. This official 4-star scored 8.9 and has a seafront address, which earned it the place. Hôtel Gabriel has a higher score, but it is a 3-star.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Given the guest comments, compare room types and sizes carefully before you choose.
Check whether breakfast is included and ask about the gym's hours. If you are bringing a pet, confirm the conditions. If you plan day trips to Monaco, look up transport options in advance.
