Bra Hotel Bari
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want the best-rated 5-star stay in central Bari and the price is not the deciding factor. Travellers who mainly want a great location can get it for much less at our Best Value pick, and a few bathroom complaints are worth checking.

This is our Luxury pick for Bari. It suits couples and travellers who want a high-end base within a short walk of the old town, with a spa, pool and restaurant on site. Staff are the standout in reviews: professional, friendly and willing to go out of their way.
Skip it if you are watching the budget. The reference price is far above the city median, and our two other picks sit in the same central part of town for a fraction of the cost. Anyone who expects flawless rooms at this price should read the guest complaints below.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at Via Abate Gimma, 35, in Bari City Centre. Guests give the location 9.8 out of 10, among the highest scores in this guide. Bari Cathedral is about 0.4 km away, roughly a 5-minute walk. The Basilica of Saint Nicholas and Castello Normanno-Svevo are both about 0.6 km, around 8 minutes on foot.
These are straight-line estimates, so allow a little extra time on the street. Guests also say the old town and the seaside are a short walk away, so most of a short city break can be done on foot.
What guests say
The score is 9.7 from 178 reviews, joint first of the 7 eligible properties in the sample. The review count is modest, so one or two stays can move the average more than at a bigger hotel. Praise focuses on the staff and the central location.
The weak spot is bathrooms. Some guests mention a jacuzzi whose heating did not work, missing mirrors and towels that were not replaced. These are the kinds of details you would expect to be right at a 5-star price, so report problems early if they come up.
Price and how it compares
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 was €485 per night for 2 adults, against a sample median of €175.70. That is a reference, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Hotel Adria, was €123 a night with a score of 8.7 and 3 stars. The Best Value pick, Hotel Moderno, was €175.70 with 9.3 and 3 stars. Bra Hotel costs about €309 more per night than Hotel Moderno. What you get for that is a fifth star, the spa, pool and restaurant, and a slightly higher guest score.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a spa and wellness center, a pool, a restaurant, air conditioning and a terrace. Breakfast options listed are continental, Italian, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, American and buffet. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible properties in Bari. The Luxury slot gives priority to 5-star hotels, and this one is 5 stars with the joint highest guest score in the sample and a near-perfect location rating. That combination made it the clear choice for the top end.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Ask whether spa and pool access are included or charged, and confirm opening times for your dates. If a jacuzzi matters to you, check the room type carefully.
