This 3-star hotel suits couples and families who want to explore Bayeux on foot. Location is its biggest asset: guests rate it 9.8 out of 10, and the overall score is 8.7 from 624 reviews.
It is also a good fit if you plan day tours. Guests say staff help with luggage and with tour arrangements, which saves time if you do not want to organise everything yourself. Family rooms are listed too.
Those who want a full-service hotel should look at other options. The listed facilities are free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a terrace, and that is about it. Breakfast gets mixed comments.
Location and getting around
The hotel sits at 14 Rue St Jean. Bayeux Cathedral is about 0.2 km away, around 3 minutes on foot. Guests also mention restaurants, shops and the town's historic sites close by.
Mondaye Abbey is the other point in our data, about 7.9 km away, roughly 99 minutes on foot. That is far, so you will need a car, a taxi or public transport.
Beach appears in the provider facilities, but this does not confirm a beach nearby or any walking distance. Do not plan around it without checking. Walking times here are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The central position near restaurants, shops, the cathedral and other historic sites is the most common praise. Staff come next: guests describe a friendly team, a warm welcome, and help with bags and tours.
The weak point is breakfast. The buffet offers eggs and coffee, but variety is limited and the bread can be dry. Listed breakfast styles are continental and buffet.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults put the hotel at about €140.70 per night, roughly €281 for the two nights. That was 7% below the sample median of €150.53. Treat this as a guide, not a quote, and check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Ibis Budget Bayeux, is a 2-star with a score of 8.1 at about €54.45 a night. It costs less than half as much, though our data does not give its distance to the cathedral.
Our Luxury pick, Villa Lara Hotel, is a 5-star with a 9.5 score at about €328.40 a night. Churchill Hotel Bayeux Centre sits between the two, and its main selling point is location.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 hotels in Bayeux. Our Best Value slot balances guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price, and is not always the cheapest choice. This hotel ranks joint 2nd of 7 on review score while costing a little under the median, which earned it the pick.
