Citrea Santander
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Yes, for most travellers who want a central, top-rated base in Santander at the lowest price among our three picks. Drivers and beach lovers should think twice: street parking is scarce and Sardinero beach is about a 34-minute walk away.

This is our Budget pick in Santander, and it has the highest guest score of the three: 9.3 out of 10 from 1,477 reviews. It suits couples and solo travellers who want to walk to museums, shops, restaurants and the train stations.
Skip it if you are arriving by car and want easy parking, or if your trip is mainly about the beach. It is also a simple 3-star hotel, with no restaurant, pool or gym in our data.
Location and getting around
The address is 10 Calle Florida. Guests describe a central location within walking distance of the train stations, shops and restaurants. The location score is 9.6.
The Museo de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo de Santander y Cantabria is about 0.1 km away, roughly 1 minute on foot as a straight-line estimate. Santander Cathedral is about 0.5 km, around 6 minutes. Sardinero is 2.7 km away, about 34 minutes on foot, so it is far for a daily beach trip: plan on public transport or a taxi.
What guests say
Staff and location lead the praise. Guests describe a friendly, attentive team who give a warm welcome and local tips.
Parking is the main complaint. Paid spaces exist nearby, but guests say street spots are scarce and hard to find. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed, so check recent reviews if those matter to you.
Price and what you get
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were about €66.60 per night. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Our other two picks: Gran Hotel Sardinero, the Best Value choice, was about €71 a night with 8.9 and 4 stars, right by Sardinero beach. Eurostars Hotel Real, the Luxury choice, was about €180 with 8.8 and 5 stars. The choice between Citrea and Gran Hotel Sardinero is mostly about location: the centre here, the beach there, for a gap of around €4.40 a night.
Listed facilities are free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk. Breakfast is listed as continental, gluten-free and buffet. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible hotels in Santander. Citrea shares first place on guest score. It took the Budget slot because it had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside. Few budget picks combine the top score in the city with a central address.
Before you book
If you drive, ask the hotel which paid car park nearby is easiest to use. Confirm whether breakfast is included and read the cancellation terms, which have not been assessed. If you need gluten-free food, confirm the options for your dates. Check today's price, since rates move.
