This is our Budget pick in Belo Horizonte, and it is unusual for a budget pick: it is a 4-star with a pool, gym, restaurant, garden and terrace listed. It suits couples, families and business travellers who want to be in the city centre and keep costs down. Family rooms are listed.
Skip it if you are picky about beds. Some guests find the mattresses comfortable, others call them soft or worn out. If you want a higher-rated stay in the Savassi area, our other two picks are there.
Location and getting around
The address is Espirito Santo, 901, in Belo Horizonte City Centre. Guests give the location 9.4 out of 10 and mention the municipal market, a park, shopping and restaurants nearby.
Praça Sete de Setembro is about 0.4 km away, around 5 minutes on foot, and Praça da Liberdade is about 1.1 km, around 14 minutes. The Church of Saint Francis of Assisi in Pampulha is about 8.3 km away, roughly 104 minutes on foot, so it is far and you will need public transport or a taxi. Times are straight-line estimates.

The main complaint is bed comfort. Opinions vary from comfortable to soft or worn out, which suggests rooms may differ.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €65.92 per night, about €132 for two nights. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates. The sample median was €107.55, so this came in about 39% below it.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a fitness center, a pool, a garden, a terrace and air conditioning. Breakfast is listed as continental and buffet. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Our Best Value pick, Esuites Savassi Toscanini, is a 4-star scoring 8.9 at €91.05 a night. Our Luxury pick, Holiday Inn Belo Horizonte Savassi by IHG, is a 5-star scoring 9.0 at €134.76. Dayrell saves about €25 a night against the Best Value pick, with a slightly lower score.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 14 eligible hotels in Belo Horizonte. Dayrell had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale pick was reserved. Its review score placed 6th of 14, which is mid-table, but combined with 4 stars, a central address and a location score of 9.4, it is strong value for a budget choice.
Before you book
Read recent reviews on beds and, if it matters, ask for a room with a newer mattress. Check whether breakfast is included. Confirm pool and gym opening times for your dates. The name mentions a convention centre, so ask if events are scheduled during your stay, as that is not confirmed in our data. Cancellation terms, room size and noise were not assessed. Compare today's price with the €65.92 reference.
