DoubleTree by Hilton Binghamton is worth booking if you want the best-rated hotel in our Binghamton sample, comfortable beds and a downtown address you can walk from. It costs more than our other two picks, and a few guests found stained carpets and tired bathrooms.

This is our Luxury pick for Binghamton, an officially rated four-star hotel with a guest score of 8.5 out of 10 from 334 reviews. It shares the top review-score position among the 4 properties we compared.
It suits visitors heading to the university, an event at the arena or a dinner downtown, and anyone who puts sleep quality first. A pool, gym, restaurant and family rooms are listed, so it works for families too.
Skip it if spotless housekeeping is your main concern or if you are watching every euro. Our Budget pick is about €47 a night cheaper.

The only nearby sight in our data is the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena, about 0.7 km away, roughly 9 minutes on foot. That is a straight-line estimate and has not been checked on the ground.

What guests say
Beds get the clearest praise: guests mention high-quality mattresses and pillows and a restful night. Location comes next, with restaurants and the university within walking distance.
The weak spot is cleanliness. Most guests find the hotel generally tidy, but some report dirty fixtures in bathrooms and stains on carpets. It is not the dominant theme, but it comes up often enough to note.

Why it made our top 3 in Binghamton
We compared 4 eligible properties in Binghamton. Our Luxury slot goes to five-star hotels first; a four-star hotel qualifies only with a score of at least 8.5. The DoubleTree meets that bar and has the joint best review score in the sample.
Listed facilities include a gym, pool, restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is in your rate; Continental and Buffet are listed, but inclusion is not confirmed. Ask about pool and gym hours, which have not been confirmed for your dates.
The listing data flags pets, so confirm the policy and any fees. If cleanliness worries you, read the most recent reviews before paying.
