Yes, book it if you are an adult traveller who wants a 5-star base with a spa and pool, a few minutes on foot from central Heraklion's sights, at a price not far above the city median. Skip it if you are travelling with children, or if a guaranteed parking space matters, since spaces are limited.

Our Luxury pick for Heraklion is the Ethereal White Resort Hotel & Spa - Adults Only, a 5-star hotel on Apokoronou in the city centre. It suits couples and adult friends who want a spa, a pool and a gym listed on site, with the old town within walking distance.
As the name says, it is adults only, so families with children should look elsewhere. If you are on a tight budget, our Best Value pick costs less than half as much and has a slightly higher guest score.
Location and getting around
Guests rate the location 9.4 out of 10, describing a central setting within walking distance of the old town, shops and restaurants.
By straight-line estimate, Agios Minas Cathedral is about 0.2 km away, around 3 minutes on foot. The Heraklion Archaeological Museum is about 0.6 km, around 8 minutes. Knossos is about 5.5 km, roughly 69 minutes on foot, which is far, so you will need public transport, a taxi or a car to get there.
Free parking is listed, but guests say spaces are limited and subject to availability.
What guests say
The hotel scores 9.3 from 1,107 reviews, joint third of 13 eligible properties in our sample. That is a strong result in a fairly large field.
Guests praise the staff as friendly and professional, with a warm welcome and useful advice. The central location is the other frequent positive.
The main complaint concerns parking. It is a useful on-site facility, but there are not many spaces and they depend on availability. If you are renting a car, ask the hotel in advance.
Price and how it compares
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were €140.94 a night, about €282 for both nights. The sample median was €111.00. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our other Heraklion picks are much cheaper. Athinaikon Hotel, the Budget choice, was €58.50 a night with 8.3 and two stars. Kipos Boutique Suites, the Best Value choice, was €63.50 with 9.4 and four stars. Paying about €77 more per night than Kipos buys you the fifth star, the spa, the pool and the adults-only setting, not a better guest score.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a spa and wellness centre, a pool, a gym, a restaurant, a terrace, free parking and air conditioning. Breakfast options include continental, vegetarian, gluten-free, American, buffet and breakfast to go. Opening times and fees are not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 13 eligible hotels in Heraklion. For the Luxury slot, five-star hotels come first. This one combines five stars with a 9.3 score from over 1,100 reviews and a central position, which earned it the place.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is in your rate, as inclusion has not been assessed. Read the cancellation terms. If you need parking, ask the hotel to note it, as spaces are limited. Confirm spa and pool hours and any fees for your dates. Room size, noise and renovation condition are not verified.
