Garni Hotel Planeta Inn is our Budget pick for Novi Sad. It has 4 stars and a guest score of 8.0 out of 10 from 790 reviews. It suits travellers who care most about location and price and plan to be out exploring all day.
Breakfast options are unusually broad: Continental, Italian, Full English or Irish, vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and American are all listed. That helps if anyone in your group has dietary needs. Family rooms are listed, and the hotel is tagged as accepting pets; confirm the pet policy and any fee.
Skip it if you are sensitive about cleanliness. Some guests report stained carpets and mould in bathrooms. Its score was also the lowest of the 7 hotels we compared.
Location and getting around Novi Sad
The address is Jevrejska 36. By our straight-line estimates, the Serbian National Theatre is about 6 minutes on foot (0.5 km). Petrovaradin Fortress is about 24 minutes (1.9 km), and Liberty Bridge about 30 minutes (2.4 km). Real walking routes can be longer, so allow extra time for the bridge and the fortress, or take a taxi.
Guests describe the setting as central, a short walk from the pedestrian zone and the historic old town. The location score is 9.1.
What guests say
Location and staff are the two main positives. Guests describe the team as friendly and efficient, giving helpful service and a warm welcome.
The recurring negative is cleanliness. Linens and surfaces are described as tidy, but some carpets show stains and some bathrooms have mould. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed.
