Grand Hotel Bregenz - MGallery Collection
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want a four-star hotel near the train station and festival hall in Bregenz at the lowest price of our three picks. The saving is small, though, so skip it if you would rather pay a few euros more for a higher guest score.

This is our Budget pick in Bregenz, which is unusual for a four-star hotel with a listed spa and gym. It suits rail travellers, people coming for an event at the festival hall and anyone who wants a big breakfast before a day out. Family rooms are listed, and pets are listed as accepted, with conditions not confirmed.
Skip it if you expect a true budget price. At €128.50 a night it is only slightly below the city's sample median. Some guests also feel the rates are high for the size of the rooms.
Location and getting around
The address is Platz der Wiener Symphoniker 2. Guests rate the location 9.4 and mention that the train station and the festival hall are close, with the town centre a short walk away.
The Vorarlberg museum is about 0.6 km away, roughly 8 minutes on foot. Kunsthaus Bregenz is about 0.7 km, around 9 minutes. The Territorial Abbey of Wettingen-Mehrerau is about 1.3 km, around 16 minutes. All walking times are straight-line estimates.
The property lists a beachfront setting. What that means in practice, and how the shore looks in November, is not confirmed, so check photos and the description.
What guests say
The score is 8.5 out of 10 from 2,670 reviews, the largest review count among our three Bregenz picks. Guests praise the location and the breakfast. The buffet is described as extensive, with fresh fruit, juices and a wide range of hot and cold dishes. Vegetarian and vegan options are listed, and there is a breakfast to go.
The criticism is about value. Some guests think the rates are fair. Others find them high for the room size and the facilities.
Price and how it compares with our other Bregenz picks
The reference price was €128.50 a night, about €257 for two nights. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November) for 2 adults in one room, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
The gap to our other picks is narrow. Hotel Messmer, our Best Value pick, was €133.09 a night with a score of 8.6. Hotel Schwärzler, our Luxury pick, was €185.65 with a score of 8.8. All three are four-star hotels. For about €5 a night more, Messmer scores slightly higher, so compare both on your dates.
Listed facilities here include a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, a pool, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Opening times and fees are not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible hotels were compared in Bregenz, so this is a small sample. Grand Hotel Bregenz had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale pick was set aside, which is how our Budget slot works. Its 8.5 score placed it third of the 3 on reviews.
In short, it is here for price and location, not because guests rate it highest.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation state and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Given the complaints about room size, read the square metres for the room type you pick. Check whether breakfast is included, since the buffet is one of the main reasons guests like it. If you bring a pet or plan to use the spa, confirm rules and fees first.
