Grand Hôtel La Cloche Dijon - MGallery Collection is worth booking if you want an official 5-star hotel on Place Darcy, a few minutes on foot from the cathedral and the old centre. If you judge a hotel on value for money, note that some guests feel the rates outrun the rooms and service, and our Best Value pick matched its score for less than half the price.

This is our Luxury pick for Dijon. It suits couples on a short city break who want a central address, a spa and a gym, and families who need family rooms. The listing also tags it as pet-friendly, though conditions and fees are not confirmed. Drivers may value the valet service guests mention.
Skip it if you want the best score per euro. Its 8.7 equals that of our Best Value pick, which cost €94.19 a night against €207.87 here. Guests also say high rates do not always match the room condition or service.

What guests say
The hotel scores 8.7 out of 10 from 1,086 reviews. Location is the clearest strength: central and still quiet. Staff are described as friendly and professional, giving helpful advice and running an efficient valet service.
The main criticism is value. Some guests feel the high rates are not always matched by the condition of the rooms or the level of service. That is worth weighing at this price. Our data does not detail which rooms draw the complaints.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
