This is our Budget pick in Riva del Garda, though it is a 4-star hotel with a spa, pool and gym on its facilities list. It suits couples, families and walkers who want to stroll to the lake, the old town and the ferry. Pets are listed as an option in the hotel's tags, which helps travellers with a dog, but check the conditions directly.
Skip it if you are driving and need a guaranteed parking space. Guests say on-site spaces are limited, small and often full.
Location and getting around
The address is Viale Carducci 3/5. Guests describe the setting as central and quiet, within walking distance of the lake, the old town and the ferry. The location score is 9.5.
The two sights in our data are further out. Cascate del Varone is about 3 km away, roughly 38 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. Arco Castle is 5.1 km away, about 64 minutes, so it is far: plan on public transport or a taxi for that trip. Real walking routes may take longer than these estimates.
What guests say
Location and breakfast lead the praise. The buffet is described as varied, with eggs and crepes made to order, gluten-free options and outdoor seating.
Parking is the weak spot. There are some on-site spaces, but guests report they fill up or are tight, so many end up paying for alternatives nearby. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed, so check recent reviews if those matter.
Price and what you get
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were about €93.11 per night. The sample median was €149.48, so this came in about 38% below it. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Our other picks: Hotel Savoy Palace - Tonelli Hotels, the Best Value choice, was about €149.48 a night with 8.8 and 4 stars. Parc Hotel Flora S, the Luxury choice, was about €153.80 with 9.4 and 4 stars. Grand Hotel Liberty matches the Best Value pick on score and stars, at roughly €56 less per night on those dates.
Listed facilities include a gym, spa, pool, restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace. Breakfast type is not confirmed in our data, although guests describe a buffet. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is also not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible hotels made the comparison in Riva del Garda, a small sample. Grand Hotel Liberty shares second place on guest score and had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside. That makes it the Budget pick, even though it is not a basic hotel.
Before you book
If you drive, ask the hotel about parking availability and nearby paid options before you arrive. Confirm whether breakfast is in your rate, and read the cancellation terms, which have not been assessed. Check spa and pool opening times and fees for November, and confirm the pet policy if you travel with an animal.
