Hacienda Santo Cristo Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.

Yes, book it if you are adults travelling together and want the highest-rated hotel in our Atlixco sample, with two pools and a spa, for a price close to the Best Value pick. It is not for families with children, and food lovers should know the restaurant gets mixed comments.

Who it suits and who should skip it

Hacienda Santo Cristo Hotel & Spa - Adults Only is our Luxury pick in Atlixco. It holds 5 stars and a 9.5 guest score from 381 reviews, the top score among the six hotels we compared.

Couples and groups of adults looking for a quiet, pool-and-spa stay are the obvious fit. As the name says, it is adults only, so families with children need to look at our other two picks. If you plan to eat every meal on site and care a lot about food, read the restaurant comments below first.

Location and getting around

The address is Paseo de Las Bugambilias 3118. The location score is 9.3, which is good, though a little below the 9.8 of our Best Value pick on the main square.

We have no verified walking times or distances to attractions from this address. Check a map for the distance to the centre and the places you want to see, and decide whether you will walk, drive or take a taxi. Free parking is listed, which helps if you arrive by car.

What guests say

Staff get the warmest praise. Guests describe a friendly, attentive team that is helpful and goes above and beyond. The pools come next: there are two clean swimming areas, and one of them is heated, which matters on cooler days.

The restaurant splits opinion. Guests enjoy the traditional meals and breakfast, but some say certain dishes lack flavour or arrive slowly. It is not a reason to skip the hotel, but plan for a slower meal now and then, or eat out some evenings.

Price and how it compares with our other two picks

The reference price was €169.17 per night, about €338.34 for two nights. This is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room, not a live quote. The sample median was €134.44 per night. Check today's price for your dates.

Here is the interesting part. Our Best Value pick, Casa de la Audiencia, cost €167.50 per night, so the gap was under €2. That hotel has the better location, right on the square, while this one has 5 stars, a slightly higher score, two pools, a spa, a restaurant and a garden. Our Budget pick, Hotel Quinta Los Laureles, cost €92.80 per night with an 8.7 score, but it is far from the centre.

For an adult couple who want facilities, this was the stronger deal at the reference dates. Prices move, so compare all three for your own nights.

Why it made our top 3

We compared 6 eligible hotels in Atlixco. For the Luxury slot, official 5-star hotels come first, and a 4-star fallback would need at least 8.5. This one is 5-star and also had the highest guest score in the sample, backed by the largest number of reviews of our three picks.

Before you book

Breakfast inclusion is not confirmed in our data, even though guests mention breakfast at the restaurant. Check your rate. Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed.

Spa treatments and pool hours may have schedules or fees, so confirm them for your dates. Make sure everyone in your group is an adult, and check the hotel's own age policy.
