This is our Budget pick in Hanoi. It suits travellers on a tight budget, longer stays and small families, since family rooms are listed. The reference price was €18.30 a night, 81% below the sample median of €94.15.
Skip it if you want to walk out into the Old Quarter each morning or need breakfast on site. No breakfast details are given in our data, so treat it as not confirmed.
Location and getting around
The address is 149 Đường Lạc Long Quân, Phường Tây Hồ, and the listing places it in the Cau Giay area. Guests rate the location 8.8, the lowest of our three Hanoi picks.
Straight-line estimates from our data: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is about 3.2 km away, around 40 minutes on foot. The Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long is 3.3 km, about 41 minutes. The Temple of Literature is 3.8 km, about 48 minutes. All three are over half an hour on foot, so in practice this is a taxi or public transport base. Walking times have not been verified.
What guests say
The score is 9.1 out of 10 from 104 reviews. That is high in absolute terms, yet it ranked joint 16th of 17 eligible properties, which shows how strong scores are across Hanoi. The review count is also small compared with our other two picks.
Our data has no summary of what guests specifically like or dislike here. That is a gap, not a sign that everything is fine. Read recent reviews on the booking page and look for comments on noise, cleanliness and check-in before you book.
Price compared with our other Hanoi picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults) put it at €18.30 a night, about €37 for two nights. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Sao Mai Boutique Hotel, our Best Value pick, was €32.84 a night with a score of 9.4 and a location near the Temple of Literature. Classyc Hotel Hang Thung, our Luxury pick, was €137.66 a night with a score of 9.6 in the Old Quarter.
So the saving against Sao Mai is about €14.54 a night. Over a short stay, taxi fares to the centre could eat into that, so do the sums for your own plans. Listed facilities here are free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a terrace and family rooms.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 17 eligible properties in Hanoi. After setting aside the upscale choice, this one had the lowest eligible reference price, and a 9.1 score is solid for that price. It carries a 4-star rating in our data.
