Holiday Inn Bandung Pasteur by IHG is our Best Value pick for the city. It fits families, couples and business travellers who want a reliable chain hotel with a gym, spa, pool, restaurant and family rooms listed, without paying luxury prices.
Walkers should look elsewhere. The hotel is in Sukajadi, and none of the three sights we track is within half an hour on foot. Summerbird, our Budget pick, is closer to the Grand Mosque.
Location and getting around
The address is Jl. Dr Djunjunan 96, in the Sukajadi area. The location score is 8.6 out of 10.
The Grand Mosque of Bandung is 3.3 km away (about 41 minutes on foot), the Bandung Geological Museum 3.4 km (about 43 minutes) and the Sri Baduga Museum 4.9 km (about 61 minutes). All three are far, so plan on a taxi or public transport. These are straight-line estimates and real routes will be longer. Free parking is listed if you are driving.
What guests say
The score is 8.5 out of 10 from 370 reviews, sharing ninth place among 17 eligible properties. That is middle of the pack in a competitive city, with enough reviews to trust.
Staff get consistent praise for being friendly and professional, with warm and attentive service. Breakfast is the other favourite: a large buffet with a wide range of tasty Indonesian and Western dishes.
The weak spot is the bathroom. Hot water works, but guests report slow drainage and maintenance issues. If it affects your room, ask for a fix or a change early in your stay.
Price and how it compares with our other Bandung picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) was €43.05 per night, about €86 for the two nights. The median across the hotels we compared was €71.28, so this was 40% below. This is a reference, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Summerbird - Bed and Brasserie, our Budget pick, was €26.57 with 8.2 and 2 stars. The Luxury pick, The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung, was €87.48 with 9.2 and 5 stars. The Holiday Inn costs about €16 more than Summerbird but adds four-star facilities and a higher score, and it costs about half of The Trans Luxury.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 17 eligible properties in Bandung. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price, so it is not the cheapest hotel. The Holiday Inn matched a solid 8.5 score and 370 reviews with a price 40% under the median and a long list of facilities. That balance is what earned it the slot.
