Holiday Inn Cottbus by IHG
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Holiday Inn Cottbus by IHG is a reasonable booking if you want a central four-star chain hotel with a buffet breakfast and a 9.4 location score. Check prices carefully, though, because in our reference check the other two Cottbus picks were slightly cheaper.

This is our Best Value pick in Cottbus. It suits business travellers and city visitors who want a central address, a restaurant on site and a predictable chain standard. Family rooms are listed, so it can also work for parents with children.
The listing also carries gym and pet-friendly tags. We cannot confirm opening hours, equipment or pet fees, so ask the hotel if either matters to you.
If you want spa facilities or the highest guest score in town, look at our Luxury pick below instead. It scored better in our sample.
Location and getting around
The hotel is on Berliner Platz. The Wendish Museum is about 0.4 km away, roughly a 5 minute walk. The location score is 9.4, which suggests guests rate the position highly.
Cottbus Zoo is about 2.6 km away, around 33 minutes on foot. That is far for a casual walk, so plan on public transport or a taxi if you are going there.
Walking times are straight-line estimates, and actual routes can take longer. Parking is not listed in our data, so drivers should check options and costs with the hotel.
What guests say
The guest score is 8.3 out of 10 from 1,204 reviews. That placed it joint second of 3 eligible properties in our sample.
We do not have a summary of specific guest likes or dislikes for this hotel. That means we cannot tell you what reviewers praise or criticise most often, beyond the score itself. Read recent reviews on the booking platform before you commit, paying attention to room comfort, noise and breakfast.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
We saw €112 per night for 2 adults in one room. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates. The sample median was €110.49, so this was roughly at the median.
Here is the honest part. Our Budget pick, SORAT Hotel Cottbus, came in at €110.49 with 4 stars and the same 8.3 score. Our Luxury pick, Best Western Plus Parkhotel & Spa Cottbus, was €106 with 4 stars and a 9.0 score. On those numbers, the Holiday Inn was not the cheapest of the three.
Prices in a small market like this shift from date to date. Compare all three for your own dates, and choose the Holiday Inn if its central Berliner Platz address or the chain brand matters to you.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible properties were in our Cottbus sample, so the choice was narrow. The Best Value slot balances guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price; it is not about being the cheapest. With an 8.3 from more than 1,200 reviews and a 9.4 location score, the Holiday Inn fitted that slot.
