Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Aurora Medical Campus by IHG
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
This Holiday Inn Express is worth booking if you need to be near the Anschutz Medical Campus or the airport and want a well-reviewed room below the Aurora median. Light sleepers who end up in a road-facing room may be less happy.

The clearest fit is anyone with business at the Anschutz Medical Campus, plus travellers with an early or late flight. Guests say the hotel is close to both the campus and the airport, and mention a shuttle service.
Families also have reasons to look: the property lists family rooms, a pool, a gym, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. People who want to explore on foot should skip it. The one sight in our data is about two hours away on foot, and the hotel's strength is access, not sightseeing.
Location and getting around Aurora
The address is 14200 East Colfax Avenue, and the location score is 8.7 out of 10. Guests rate it for being near the medical campus and the airport.
Dick's Sporting Goods Park is about 9.4 km away, roughly 118 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. That is far. You will need a car, a taxi or public transport to get there or to reach most places beyond the immediate area.
Guests mention a shuttle, but its route, timetable and any cost are not confirmed. Ask the hotel before you rely on it, especially for a flight.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.8 out of 10 from 393 guest reviews. On review score it ranked joint second of the 9 eligible properties in the provider sample, which is a strong showing for a 3-star hotel.
Breakfast earns specific praise: hot items such as eggs and sausage, and fresh bean-to-cup coffee. Guests also like the closeness to the medical campus and the airport.
The recurring complaint is road noise. The area is generally peaceful, but some rooms pick up sound from the nearby busy road. If you sleep lightly, ask for a room away from the road when you book.
Price and value against our other Aurora picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults put this hotel at €92.96 per night. The sample median was €105.80, so it came in 12% below. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, SYLO Hotel Denver Airport, a Ramada by Wyndham, was €79.92 per night with 2 stars and a score of 8.1. Our Luxury pick, Hyatt Regency Denver Anschutz Medical Campus, was €120.98 per night, 4 stars and 8.6.
So this Holiday Inn Express costs about €13 more than the Budget pick for a much higher score, and about €28 less than the Luxury pick while scoring slightly higher. For many travellers that is the sweet spot of the three.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible hotels in Aurora. This one is our Best Value choice, meaning it balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price. It is not the cheapest.
An 8.8 average across 393 reviews, a price below the median and a pool, gym and buffet breakfast make a strong case in a field of nine.
