Hotel am Campus
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you travel by car, want a quiet base with free parking and value a strong breakfast. If you plan to walk to the castle or the Audi museum, the distances make it a poor fit.

Hotel am Campus is our Best Value pick in Ingolstadt, a 4-star hotel at Kälberschüttstr. 1. It works best for drivers, business travellers and anyone who wants a calm night and a big breakfast before a day of meetings or driving.
Guests describe the setting as quiet and close to the highway, with local shops within easy reach. That is a plus if you arrive by car. It is a minus if you want to step out of the door into the old town. Travellers without a car who plan to sightsee on foot should weigh the distances below carefully.
Location and getting around
The main sights are not close. New Castle (Ingolstadt) is about 3.7 km away, roughly 46 minutes on foot. The Audi museum mobile is 5.9 km away, around 74 minutes walking. Both are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi. These times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
The location score from guests is 8.2 out of 10, lower than the overall score. That fits the picture: people like the quiet and the highway access, but this is not a central address. Free parking is listed by the property, which helps if you are driving. Check whether a space is guaranteed for your dates.
What guests say
The overall guest score is 8.9 out of 10 from 902 reviews, placing it joint 2nd of the 6 hotels we compared. Breakfast is the standout: guests mention an extensive buffet with plenty of fresh options and even vitamin shots. Vegetarian, vegan and American options are listed.
The data holds no recurring complaints for this hotel. That does not mean there are none. It means no common theme showed up, so read recent reviews for anything that matters to you, such as noise from the road or room size.
Price and value against our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, were about €145.80 per night. That is 13% below the sample median of €167.88. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
IntercityHotel Ingolstadt, our Budget pick, came in at €131.50 per night with a score of 8.3, also 4 stars. Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt, our Luxury pick, was €204.40 with a score of 9.1. Paying about €14 more than the Budget pick gets you a higher guest score, free parking and a gym. The Maritim scores a little higher still but costs nearly €60 more per night.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, a terrace, free parking and air conditioning. Pets are allowed according to the property tags, but conditions and fees are not confirmed.
