Hotel Atismar
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
It is worth booking if location and price come first and you can accept some risk on cleanliness. If a spotless room is non-negotiable, pay more for one of our other two Quarteira picks.

Hotel Atismar is our Budget pick in Quarteira. It is a 3-star hotel with a guest score of 8.2 out of 10 from 448 reviews. It suits beach-focused travellers who want to be close to the sand, restaurants and shops for the lowest price in our shortlist.
Skip it if hygiene is your top concern. Daily housekeeping is provided, but many guests report ants, mould and cockroaches. That is a real issue, not a small gripe, and you should weigh it before booking.
Location and getting around
The address is Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro, and the property lists itself as beachfront. Guests say it is steps from the beach, restaurants and local shops. The location score is 9.3, the strongest point in the data.
The sights listed nearby are all far. Falésia Beach is about 6.9 km away, around 86 minutes on foot. The Church of São Lourenço in Almancil is about 8 km, roughly 100 minutes. The Castle of Loulé is about 10.4 km, close to 130 minutes. For any of these you will need public transport, a taxi or a car. Free parking is listed.
Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
Two things come up most in praise. First, the location near the beach and the town's restaurants. Second, the staff, described as friendly, helpful and professional at both reception and the bar.
The main complaint is cleanliness. Housekeeping happens daily, yet many reviews mention ants, mould and cockroaches. Among the 5 hotels we compared, this one shared the lowest guest score.
Price and how it compares with our other picks
The reference price was €62.50 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room. That is €125 for both nights and about 12% below the sample median of €71.30. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, Dom Jose Beach Hotel (Plus), scored 8.9 with 3 stars at €94.56 a night. Our Luxury pick, Aquashow Park Hotel, scored 9.0 with 4 stars at €128. So Atismar saves you around €32 a night over the Best Value choice, but the guest score is clearly lower.
For the money, the listing includes a pool, a restaurant, a terrace, free parking, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. A continental breakfast is mentioned. Check whether it is included in your rate.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Quarteira. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale pick is set aside, and Atismar was that hotel at €62.50. Its location score of 9.3 and its beachfront listing make the low price more useful than it might first look.
Before you book
Read the most recent reviews for cleanliness before you pay. If recent guests still report insects or mould, consider the Best Value pick instead.
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check the cancellation policy, and confirm pool opening times and any fees for your dates.
