This is our Luxury choice in Kosice. It suits couples and families who want calm, fresh air and wellness facilities: the property lists a spa, a pool, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace, family rooms and free parking. It works best for travellers with a car.
Skip it if you want to step out of the door into the old town. Guests describe the setting as a peaceful forest on a hill, outside the city centre. That is the appeal, but it also means every trip into town needs transport.
Location and getting around
The address is Dolny Bankov 2. The location score is 9.3 out of 10, which reflects the setting more than the distance to the sights.
By our straight-line estimates, Košice Zoo is about 4 km away, roughly 50 minutes on foot. The National Theatre Košice is about 4.6 km, around 58 minutes, and the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth about 4.8 km, around 60 minutes. All of these are far, so plan on a car, public transport or a taxi. These times have not been verified.
Free parking is listed by the property, which helps if you drive. Check availability for your dates.
What guests say
The hotel scores 9.0 out of 10 from 2,068 reviews, joint position 2 of 7 eligible hotels in the provider sample.
Breakfast is a highlight. Guests describe a tasty, plentiful buffet with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. Listed styles include continental, vegetarian, gluten-free and buffet.
The setting is the other big plus: a quiet forest on a hill with fresh air. The weak point is the restaurant. Guests enjoy the seasonal meals, but say service can be slow and opening hours are limited. If you plan to eat in, check the hours in advance.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults came to about €98 per night. That is 30% below the sample median of €140.38. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Penzión Sport, is a three-star scoring 8.8 at about €87 per night. Our Best Value pick, Boutique Hotel Slávia, is a three-star scoring 9.3 at about €140.38 per night.
This is an unusual case: the Luxury pick costs less than the Best Value pick. Over two nights it is about €85 cheaper than Boutique Hotel Slávia and only about €22 more than Penzión Sport. What you give up is a central address. What you gain is a four-star with a spa, a pool and free parking.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Kosice. For the Luxury slot, five-star hotels come first, and a four-star qualifies only with a score of at least 8.5. This hotel scored 9.0, from more than 2,000 reviews.
Its facility list is the broadest of our three picks in the city, and its price is well below the median.
