Location and getting around
You will find it at Breitnerstraat 23 in Centrum, and guests rate the location 9.3. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is about 0.3 km away, roughly a 4-minute walk. The Erasmusbrug is about 1.4 km, around 18 minutes, and Diergaarde Blijdorp, the zoo, about 1.9 km, around 24 minutes.
These are straight-line estimates, and the provider notes they have not been verified, so real routes may be longer. Guests describe the area as central yet quiet, within walking distance of museums, shops and public transport.
What guests say
The score is 8.3 out of 10 from 3,925 reviews. Guests like the balance of a central location with a quiet setting and appreciate the friendly, helpful team at the 24-hour reception.
Beds are the main complaint. Some guests find mattresses too soft, others too hard, and some find the beds small. If you sleep badly in unfamiliar beds, read the most recent comments before committing.

Our Best Value pick, The James Rotterdam, a 4-star, was €122.10 per night with an 8.7. Our Luxury pick, Haven Hotel Rotterdam, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 5-star, was €604.30 with an 8.6. Breitner gives up a little on score and stars but keeps the cost under €100 a night.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 11 candidate hotels in Rotterdam. After reserving the upscale choice, Breitner had the lowest eligible reference price. It sat joint ninth of 11 on review score, but nearly four thousand reviews averaging 8.3 and a 9.3 location score make it a sound cheap base.
