Hotel de la Paz
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Hotel de la Paz is worth booking if you want the best-rated location of our three Guanajuato picks and a reliable score from a large number of reviews. It is less suited to travellers who want breakfast served in their own hotel or a full list of facilities.

This is our Best Value pick for Guanajuato. It suits couples and solo travellers who want to step out into the historic centre and spend their days on foot. The 24-hour front desk is useful for late arrivals.
Skip it if you want a pool, gym, parking or family rooms: our data does not list any of them here. Also think about breakfast. Guests say it is served at a nearby property, and opinions on the selection and quality vary.
Location and getting around
The address is Callejón del Estudiante 1, Centro, in the Centro Historico. By our straight-line estimates, Teatro Juárez is 0.2 km away, about 3 minutes on foot, and the Alhóndiga de Granaditas is 0.5 km, about 6 minutes.
Guests rate the location 9.8 out of 10, the highest of the three picks. They describe the hotel as being in the historic centre near the university, and some mention views of the main plaza. Ask which rooms have that view if it matters to you, since it is not confirmed for every room.
Walking times are estimates and have not been checked on the ground.
What guests say
The overall score is 8.9 out of 10 from 752 reviews, joint 6th of the 13 hotels in our sample. That review count is the largest of our three Guanajuato picks, which makes the score a solid signal.
Guests praise the staff as friendly and helpful at the 24-hour reception, along with the location described above.
The main criticism concerns breakfast. It is served at a nearby property, not in the hotel itself, and guests have mixed views on the choice and quality.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €80.01 per night, about €160 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
The property lists free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk. That is a short list. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Our Budget pick, Hotel Real Guanajuato, was €56.02 with 8.2, and guests there complain about noise. Our Luxury pick, Villa Maria Cristina Hotel, was €211.51 with 9.5. Hotel de la Paz costs about €24 a night more than the Budget pick for a clearly higher score, air conditioning in the facility list and an even better-rated location.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 13 eligible hotels in Guanajuato. The Best Value slot balances the guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price. It is not necessarily the cheapest hotel.
