Couples, families and anyone who likes to walk to shops, restaurants and bars will find this 3-star hotel a good fit. The property lists a restaurant, free parking, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, so drivers are covered too, subject to availability.
Skip it if you are a very light sleeper. Guests say the double-glazed windows keep out street noise, but the wooden floors transmit footsteps from the rooms above. Also look elsewhere if you want a pool, spa or gym, as none appear in our data.
Location and getting around
The address is Rua 7 de Setembro, 954. Guests describe it as central and within walking distance of Neumarkt Shopping, Rua XV, restaurants and bars. The location score is 9.7.
We do not have verified walking times to specific sights for this hotel, so check a map for the places you plan to visit. Distances to the bus station or airport are not confirmed either. Free parking is listed, which helps if you arrive by car.
What guests say
The average is 9.4 out of 10 from 5,942 reviews, one of the larger review counts you will see for a mid-sized city. Breakfast is the standout: an extensive colonial-style buffet with a wide range of breads, cakes and fresh juices.
Location is the second strength. The main complaint is noise inside the building, specifically footsteps through the wooden floors. Room size and renovation condition have not been assessed. Breakfast is offered as continental and buffet, but whether it is included in the reference price is not confirmed.
Price and how it compares

Our Budget pick, ibis budget Blumenau, a 2-star hotel, came in at about 47 euros a night with a score of 8.5. The Luxury pick, Villa do Vale Boutique Hotel, a 5-star property, was about 203 euros with a 9.6.
For around 9.50 euros more a night than the Budget option you get almost a full point more in guest score. The Luxury hotel scores slightly higher, but costs more than three times as much. The sample median was about 67 euros, so this hotel came in 15% below it.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible properties in Blumenau. This one shared second place on review score, with 9.4, backed by nearly 6,000 reviews.
The Best Value label weighs the guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price together. It is not necessarily the cheapest hotel, but here the balance is hard to beat.
Before you book
If noise bothers you, ask for a room on the top floor, where there is nobody walking above you. Confirm that breakfast is in your rate, since it is the main reason guests rate this place so highly.
Check that free parking is available for your dates and read the cancellation terms, which we have not assessed.
