This is our Budget pick for La Paz. It suits couples and families who want a tidy room, a pool, free parking and a walkable location without paying the €200-plus rates of our other two picks. Family rooms are listed by the property.
Skip it if you plan to spend long afternoons at the pool. Guests say the water is cold and the area sometimes lacks shade or cleanliness. Travellers who want the highest score in town should look at our Best Value pick instead.

Two things come up often in a good way. The location, three blocks from the Malecon in a safe, quiet street, and the cleanliness of rooms and shared spaces, described as tidy and well kept.
The complaint is the pool. Guests find it pleasant overall but say the water is cold, and that it sometimes lacks cleanliness or shade.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €88.98 per night, about €178 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
The property lists a pool, a restaurant, free parking, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace. Breakfast details are not confirmed in our data, so check your rate.
Our Best Value pick, Hotel Casa Coronel, was €201.21 with 9.1. Our Luxury pick, Baja Club Hotel, La Paz, Baja California Sur, a Member of Design Hotels, was €324.29 with 8.5. Bugambilias costs less than half of Casa Coronel and scores slightly higher than Baja Club. For many travellers, that makes it the most practical of the three.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible hotels in La Paz. After setting aside the upscale choice, this was the cheapest eligible option at €88.98 per night, against a sample median of €174.99. That is 49% below the median.
It pairs that price with four stars, a solid score and a location guests like. With only 6 hotels in the sample, the choice in La Paz was narrower than in larger cities.
