This is the cheap option in our Guadalajara trio. It suits couples and families watching their budget, drivers who want free parking, and anyone happy to trade some polish for a low nightly rate. The property lists a pool, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace, family rooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. It is also tagged as pet-friendly; check conditions directly.
Skip it if spotless rooms are non-negotiable. Cleanliness is the one recurring complaint in the data, and the guest score, while solid, sits near the bottom of the sample.
Location and getting around
The address is Guadalupe Montenegro 1572, in the Centro area. Guests describe the setting as central, within walking distance of the town centre and local restaurants. The location score is 8.7 out of 10.
Distances are straight-line estimates. Guadalajara Cathedral is about 1.7 km away, roughly 21 minutes on foot, which is a fair walk but doable. The Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan (6.7 km, about 84 minutes) and the Telmex Auditorium (7.4 km, about 93 minutes) are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi for both.
What guests say
Hotel Isabel scores 8.6 out of 10 from 2,706 reviews. That is a decent result, yet in a strong market it ranks joint 14th of 16 eligible properties in the provider sample.
Guests like the location and the staff, who are described as friendly and attentive, with a warm welcome. On the other side, cleanliness splits opinion. Many find the rooms tidy, while others report dust, hair and unpleasant odours. That is worth taking seriously, and you should check the latest reviews before you pay.
Breakfast is listed as American. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.

Our Best Value pick, Hotel Antré Chapultepec, was about €84.78 a night with a 9.3 score and four stars. Our Luxury pick, Origen 438 Luxury Boutique Hotel, was about €110.23 a night with a 9.6 score and five stars. The gap is clear: you pay less than half of the Best Value price here, but guests rate the other two noticeably higher.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 16 eligible hotels in Guadalajara. Hotel Isabel is our Budget choice because it had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale pick was set aside. It was not chosen as the best-rated hotel in the city.
What it offers for that price is a pool, free parking and a central address, backed by more than 2,700 reviews.
