The address is the main draw: Königsallee 59, on Düsseldorf's best-known shopping street. It suits shoppers, business travellers and couples who want a polished hotel within walking distance of the Old Town and the Rhine.
Guests consistently praise the staff as friendly, professional and efficient. If service matters as much as the room, that is a good sign.
Skip it if you are counting euros. At the reference price it sits well above the sample median of €132.34 a night. Also think twice if a calm breakfast is part of your idea of a good hotel, because the breakfast room gets crowded.
Location and getting around
The area is the City Center, with a guest location score of 9.7. Guests mention the Old Town, shopping streets and public transport as close.
The Königsallee itself is about 0.4 km away, roughly 5 minutes on foot. The Rheinturm is 1.2 km, about 15 minutes. Museum Kunstpalast is 1.7 km, around 21 minutes. These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified on the ground, so real walks may be a bit longer.
We have no confirmed details on parking or airport transfers. If you are driving, ask the hotel about parking availability and cost before you arrive.
What guests say
Hotel Kö59 holds a 9.0 out of 10 from 4,902 reviews, which puts it joint second of 15 eligible properties in our sample on review score. With almost five thousand reviews behind it, that score is reliable.
Praise centres on the central position and the staff. On the downside, guests like the breakfast itself, with good variety, but say the dining area becomes crowded and disorganised. Going early or late may help, though we cannot confirm serving times.
Price and how it compares with our other picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was €222.75 per night, about €445 in total. It is a reference price, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
For comparison, our Budget pick, Premier Inn Düsseldorf City Friedrichstadt, scored 8.2 at €80.50 a night. Our Best Value pick, Ruby Luna Hotel Dusseldorf by IHG, scored 8.5 at €105. You pay a little over twice the Best Value rate here for a higher score, five stars and the Königsallee address.
The breakfast types listed include continental, full English/Irish, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, American and buffet. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed. Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a fitness centre; the property also lists a pool and spa, but opening times and any fees must be checked.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 15 hotels in Düsseldorf. Our Luxury slot prioritises five-star hotels, and Hotel Kö59 combined that rating with a 9.0 score and a very large review base.
It is the expensive option in our trio, and we say so. What you get for the extra money is the address and consistently praised service.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is in the rate and what the cancellation terms are. Room size, noise, renovation condition and breakfast inclusion have not been assessed.
If you plan to use the pool, spa or gym, confirm they are open on your dates. Pets are flagged in the property data, so ask about rules and fees if you travel with one.
