This is a room for travellers who plan to spend the day out in the streets. Couples and solo visitors on a tight budget get a central address, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a garden listed by the property. The data also tags it as pet friendly, which is useful in a city where that is not a given, though you should confirm the conditions directly.
Skip it if you want hotel comforts. It is rated 1 star, and the only facilities we can confirm are Wi-Fi, air conditioning and the garden. Breakfast is not confirmed in our data. Light sleepers and anyone fussy about mattresses should read the guest comments below before booking.
Location and getting around
The address is Romero Barros, 4- 6, in Córdoba Old Town. Guests give the location 9.5 out of 10, the strongest part of the score. By straight-line estimate, the historic centre of Córdoba is about 0.4 km away, roughly 5 minutes on foot, and the Roman bridge is about 0.5 km, around 6 minutes.
Madinat al-Zahra is a different story. It sits about 8 km away, which is around 100 minutes on foot. That is far, so plan on public transport, a tour or a taxi if it is on your list.
What guests say
Across 4,308 reviews the average is 8.5 out of 10. The comments that come up most praise the location: guests describe walking to the old town, the cathedral and restaurants with ease. Staff also get good marks, described as friendly and professional, with helpful advice for getting around.
The main complaint is the beds. Some guests find the mattresses comfortable, others say they are too soft or too hard. We have no confirmed data on room size, noise or renovation condition.
Price and what you get against our other Córdoba picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was €49 a night, so about €98 for both nights. That is roughly 51% below the median of the hotels we compared. These are reference prices, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, H10 Palacio Colomera, is a 4-star hotel scoring 9.2 at about €99.36 a night, roughly double. The Luxury pick, Eurostars Palace, is a 5-star hotel scoring 9.1 at about €129.59 a night. With Maestre you give up stars and some guest score, and you keep around €50 a night compared with the next step up.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 11 eligible hotels in Córdoba. Hotel Maestre came out with the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale pick had been set aside, which is how we choose the Budget slot. Its review score sits at the bottom of that sample, joint 11 of 11, so this is a price pick first.
What kept it in is the volume and consistency of feedback: 4,308 reviews averaging 8.5 is a solid record for the price, and the 9.5 location score backs up what guests write.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is offered and what it costs, since our data does not confirm it. Ask about the pet policy and any fee if you travel with an animal. Confirm the cancellation terms, as we have not assessed them.
If mattress firmness matters to you, read recent reviews for your room type.
