Hotel Miracorgo
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you want a central 4-star with a pool, a gym and free parking listed, steps from the cathedral. On the reference dates it was the priciest and lowest-scored of our three Vila Real picks, so compare prices for your dates before you commit.

Hotel Miracorgo is our Best Value pick in Vila Real. It suits drivers who want free parking and a central base, families who need a family room, and travellers who like a hotel with a pool, a gym and a garden among its listed facilities.
If cleanliness is your top concern, read the guest comments below. And if price is what matters most, our other two picks were cheaper on the reference dates.
Location and getting around
The address is Avenida 1º de Maio, 76 a 78. Guests rate the location 9.3 and describe it as central, close to the town centre, with views over the river and valley.
The Cathedral of Vila Real is just 0.3 km away, about 4 minutes on foot. Mateus Palace is 2.6 km away, around 33 minutes, which is past our 30-minute line: most people will want a car, public transport or a taxi. Panoias Sanctuary is 5.3 km away, about 66 minutes, so it is far. These are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.3 out of 10 from 1,116 reviews. That is a large and stable sample, but it puts the hotel joint last of the 3 properties we compared on score.
Guests like the location and the breakfast. They mention an abundant buffet with fresh fruit, served in a large dining room with views. Continental and buffet styles are listed.
The complaint to take seriously is room cleanliness. Rooms are generally tidy, but some guests report stains, odours or missed spots on surfaces. Check your room on arrival and raise any problem at once.
Price compared with our other Vila Real picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) was €141.00 per night for 2 adults, above the sample median of €110.00. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Here is the honest part. Our Budget pick, Quinta do Paço Hotel, scored 8.5 at €110.00 a night with 3 stars. Our Luxury pick, Borralha Hotel, Restaurante & Spa, also scored 8.5 at €110.00, with 4 stars. On those dates Miracorgo cost €31 more a night for a score 0.2 lower. What you get for that is the central location and the long list of facilities.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible hotels were compared in Vila Real, so the field was small. The Best Value slot weighs guest score, review count and price. Miracorgo brings a large review base of 1,116, a 9.3 location score and a long facility list, which is why it holds this slot despite the price on our reference dates.
