This 3-star hotel scores 8.5 out of 10 from 597 reviews, with a 9.6 location score. The review base is smaller than at many hotels we cover, so treat the score with a little more caution.
It suits travellers who want to walk out the door into the Old Town and families, since family rooms are listed. Pets are among the listed features too.
Skip it if you need a quiet night. Guests report late-night pedestrians and early morning delivery trucks. It is also not the choice for hotel facilities: the list covers free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk, with no restaurant listed.
Location and getting around
The address is Hauptstr. 75, in the Altstadt. Guests describe a central spot in the Old Town pedestrian zone, near shops and sights.
The Church of the Holy Spirit is about 0.6 km away, roughly 8 minutes on foot. The Old Bridge is about 0.7 km, around 9 minutes. Schwetzingen Palace is about 9.9 km away, more than two hours on foot, so it is far and you will need public transport or a taxi.
Walking times are straight-line estimates. Being in a pedestrian zone, check how to arrive with luggage or by car.
What guests say
Location is the main strength, reflected in the 9.6 score. Guests like being in the pedestrian zone close to shops and sights.
Staff also get praise for being friendly, helpful and attentive.
The main complaint is street noise: late-night pedestrians and early morning delivery trucks. Room size and renovation condition have not been assessed.
Price and value against our other Heidelberg picks
The reference price was €101.00 a night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. It is not a live quote. That was 10% below the sample median of €112.75.
Our Best Value pick, Staycity Aparthotels Heidelberg, a 4-star property scoring 8.6, was about €108.25 a night, only around €7 more. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg, Bestes Hotel Deutschlands in historischer Architektur, a 5-star hotel scoring 9.4, was about €321 a night.
The gap with the Best Value pick is small, so the choice comes down to location. Here you are in the Old Town itself. Breakfast is a buffet, but inclusion is not confirmed. Check today's price.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Heidelberg. On review score, this one shared fourth place.
It is our Budget choice because €101.00 a night was the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale pick was reserved. An Old Town address with a 9.6 location score at that price earns it the spot.
Before you book
Ask for a room away from the street if you sleep lightly. Check how to reach the hotel with a car or heavy bags, since it is in a pedestrian zone, and parking is not listed.
Confirm whether breakfast is included. Check pet rules and fees if relevant. Cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check today's price for your dates.
