Yes, this is a sound booking for most short stays in Fulda: it scores 8.7 from 798 guest reviews and sits about 5 minutes on foot from the cathedral and the Princely Abbey. Couples and families who want a central base and a good breakfast get the most from it, while light sleepers who need a firm mattress should read the bed comments first.

This 3-star hotel on Rabanusstr. 7 works well for travellers who want to walk to the main sights of Fulda and not think about transport. It is our Best Value choice in the city, so it suits people who care about a high guest score and a fair price more than about extra facilities.
Families should take a look too. The property lists family rooms, and the listing is tagged as family friendly.
Skip it if a firm bed matters a lot to you. Some guests found the mattresses too soft or sagging. It is also not the place for anyone looking for a spa, gym or pool, as none of those are listed.
Location and getting around
The address is Rabanusstr. 7, in central Fulda. Three of the city's best known sights are close: the Princely Abbey of Fulda, Fulda Cathedral and St. Michael's Church are each about 0.4 km away, roughly 5 minutes on foot.
Guests say the Old Town and the train station are a short walk away, which makes arriving by rail simple. Some also mention city views from the upper floors, so it may be worth asking for a higher room.
The location score from guests is 9.5, the strongest number in this hotel's profile. Parking is not confirmed in the data, so if you are driving, ask the hotel about options and prices before arrival.
What guests say
Across 798 reviews the average is 8.7 out of 10. Breakfast gets the most specific praise: an extensive buffet with fresh egg dishes and a large selection of muesli. Note that breakfast inclusion has not been confirmed for the reference price, so check whether your rate includes it.
The location is the other clear strength, with guests pointing to the short walk to the Old Town and the station.
The main complaint is about beds. Some guests found them comfortable, others said the mattresses were too soft or sagging. Room size, noise levels and renovation condition have not been assessed.
Price and how it compares
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) was about 155 euros per night, so around 310 euros for both nights. This is not a live quote. Check today's price for your own dates.
Our Budget pick, Holiday Inn Express - Fulda by IHG, came in at about 122 euros per night with a score of 8.6. Our Luxury pick, Hotel ESPERANTO Kongress- und Kulturzentrum Fulda, a 4-star hotel, was about 358 euros per night, also with an 8.6.
So you pay roughly 33 euros a night more than the Budget option and get a slightly higher guest score and a stronger location. Compared with the Luxury pick, the saving is large, about 200 euros a night.
