This hotel suits travellers who want to keep costs down and stay close to Plaza Venezuela and the Sabana Grande boulevard. Guests also mention a Metro station nearby, which helps if you are not driving. Free parking and family rooms are listed, so it can work for road trips and families.
It is less suited to people who want to eat most meals at the hotel. Guest reports on the restaurant are mixed. It also ranks seventh of eight properties in our sample on guest score, so if review scores weigh heavily for you, look at our Best Value or Luxury picks.
Location and getting around
The address is Avenida La Salle. The location score is 9.0 out of 10, and guests describe a central setting near the Metro, Plaza Venezuela and Sabana Grande.
The Mosque of Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim is about 1.2 km away, around 15 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. The National Pantheon of Venezuela is about 3.4 km, around 43 minutes, and Miraflores Palace about 3.9 km, around 49 minutes. Both are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
What guests say
The score is 8.0 out of 10 from 606 reviews. That is a fair result with plenty of reviews behind it, but it places joint seventh of 8 eligible properties in our sample.
Staff get the warmest comments. Guests describe a friendly, helpful and attentive team and a warm welcome. Location is the other point they like.
The restaurant is the weak spot. Some guests found the meals tasty and the service good, while others report poor quality and irregular opening hours. Do not count on it for every meal.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Caracas. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale choice is set aside, and at €37.13 Hotel Plaza Venezuela had it. Its central location and steady staff praise support the pick, even though its score is modest.
