This is a 3-star hotel for travellers who care more about price than polish. Couples and families on a tight budget get a guest score of 8.1 out of 10 from 169 reviews, family rooms, free parking and air conditioning.
Drivers will like the free parking, which is less common in busy Indian cities. Families can look at the listed family rooms, though sizes and layouts are not confirmed.
Skip it if you want to walk to the main monuments. Every sight in our data is more than 30 minutes away on foot. Skip it too if you need a long list of hotel facilities: no pool, gym or spa is listed.
Location and getting around Maninagar
The hotel sits in Maninagar, at Gopikrishna Complex, opposite Kankaria Gate 1, Pushpkunj, Kankaria. Guests say it gives easy access to local transport and to Kankariya Lake Park, and the location score is 8.9 out of 10.
The well-known sights are a different story. The Jama Mosque is about 2.5 km away, roughly 31 minutes on foot. Sidi Saiyyed Mosque is about 3.1 km, around 39 minutes, and Kochrab Ashram is about 3.5 km, around 44 minutes. These are straight-line estimates, so real walks will be longer. Plan on public transport or a taxi for all three.
What guests say
Two themes come up in the feedback. The first is location: guests like being close to local transport and Kankariya Lake Park. The second is the rooms, which are described as tidy, spacious and well kept.
No recurring complaints appear in the data we hold. That is a good sign, but with 169 reviews the sample is modest. On review score alone, the hotel shared 7th place out of 9 eligible properties, so others in the city are rated higher.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €42.63 per night, seen for a 2-night stay on 10 to 12 November 2026 for 2 adults. The sample median was €108.33, so this hotel came in about 61% below it. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, not live quotes. Check today's price for your own dates.
For about €8 more per night, our Best Value pick, Artilla Inn, had 4 stars and a score of 8.3 at €50.55. Our Luxury pick, Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, scored 8.5 with 5 stars at €162.62 a night. If the small gap to Artilla Inn does not matter to you, Hotel Pleasant Lake stays the cheapest of the three.
Listed facilities are free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a terrace, free parking and family rooms. A vegetarian buffet breakfast is listed, but whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible hotels in Ahmedabad. Hotel Pleasant Lake had the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale choice was set aside, which made it our Budget pick.
A guest score above 8, clean rooms in the feedback and free parking gave it enough substance to sit alongside two pricier options.
