Hotel Prins Boudewijn
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Hotel Prins Boudewijn is worth booking if you want a central, well-placed base near the station and shops for far less than most of Knokke-Heist charges. Skip it if dated facilities would bother you, because that is the main complaint from guests.

Train travellers and short-break visitors are the best fit. Guests say the hotel sits on a shopping street near the train station, with the beach within walking distance.
Breakfast lovers should note the buffet, which guests praise for fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs, sausages and pastries. Family rooms are listed, and the property is tagged as pet-friendly, so ask about the conditions.
Skip it if you expect modern rooms for this money. Some guests find the price high for facilities they see as dated, even though it is cheap for the area.
Location and getting around
The address is Lippenslaan 35 - 37 in Knokke. The location score is 8.6. Beach access is mentioned by the provider, but that does not confirm a beachfront position or a set walking distance.
The sights in our data are all some distance away. The Schipdonk Canal is 4.9 km, about 61 minutes on foot. The Damme Canal is 7.8 km, roughly 98 minutes. Ter Doest Abbey is 9 km, close to 113 minutes. All three are far, so plan on public transport, a taxi or a bike.
These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.1 out of 10 from 1,613 reviews. Among the 3 eligible properties in our sample, it ranked third on review score, so this is a price pick more than a score pick.
Guests like two things most. The breakfast buffet is generous and varied. The location is central, with shops close by, the station near and the beach reachable on foot.
The common criticism is value. Rates are seen as affordable for Knokke-Heist, yet some guests feel the facilities are dated for what they paid.

The saving is large: more than €125 a night against Hotel Nelson, for a score only 0.1 lower. What you give up is a star and, going by reviews, a fresher finish.
