Hôtel Terminus
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Yes, it is a strong pick if you arrive by train and want to walk into central Grenoble for a below-median price. Light sleepers should know that internal walls let some sound through.

Hôtel Terminus suits rail travellers, short city breaks and families: the property lists family rooms, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk, which helps with late arrivals.
There is no restaurant in the facility list we have, so plan to eat out in the evening. If you are sensitive to noise from neighbouring rooms, read the guest comments first. And if you want a four-star experience, our Luxury pick is the one to look at.
Location and getting around
The address is 10 Place de la Gare. Guests say the hotel is directly opposite the railway station and a short walk from the city centre. The location score is 9.5 out of 10.
The main sights in our data are all within walking range. The Bastille is about 1 km away, roughly 13 minutes. Grenoble Cathedral is about 1.3 km (16 minutes) and the Museum of Grenoble about 1.4 km (18 minutes). These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified, so real routes may take a little longer.
What guests say
The score is 8.6 out of 10 from 1,059 reviews, joint third for score among 12 eligible properties in the sample.
Location is the first thing guests praise, with the station across the square and the centre close by. Breakfast is the second: a buffet with homemade, organic products and a wide choice of sweet and savoury items.
Noise gets a mixed report. Double glazing blocks street noise well, according to guests, but the internal walls let some sound pass between rooms.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €88.80 per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room, not live quotes. The sample median in Grenoble was €102.80, so Terminus was 14% below it.
Our Budget pick, Residhotel Le Central'Gare (3 stars, score 8.2), was €79.30 per night. Our Luxury pick, Park Hotel Grenoble - Handwritten Collection (4 stars, score 9.0), was €170.15. For about €9.50 more than the Budget pick you get a score 0.4 higher; the Luxury pick costs nearly twice as much.

Why it made our top 3

Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Because of the comments about internal walls, earplugs or a request for a quieter room may help.
Facilities are as listed by the property; availability and any fees must be checked for your dates. Parking is not in our data, so ask the hotel if you are driving.
