This is our Best Value pick in Opole. It is a 3-star hotel with a score of 9.5 out of 10 from 954 guest reviews, the top review score among the 8 properties we compared. The property lists a gym, a spa, a restaurant, free parking, family rooms, a garden, a terrace, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Pets are listed as accepted.
It suits travellers with a car, business visitors and couples who will spend time at the hotel itself and want good service and a strong breakfast.
Skip it if you plan to explore on foot. Also note that guests see the rates and extra fees as high, so read the price breakdown carefully.
Location and getting around
The address is 20 Dworcowa, and the location score is 8.8 out of 10. Our data does not confirm what lies immediately around the hotel, so check the map before you book.
The two sights in our data are far. By our straight-line estimates, Opole Zoo is about 4.2 km away, roughly 53 minutes on foot, and Opole Cathedral about 4.6 km, roughly 58 minutes. For both you will need public transport or a taxi.
Free parking is listed, which makes a car the simplest option. Specific bus or train links are not confirmed, so check routes if you are travelling without one.
What guests say
Staff and breakfast lead the praise. Guests describe a friendly, professional team that gives helpful service and a warm welcome. The buffet breakfast gets special mention for its large selection of elaborate dishes and fresh juices. Continental and buffet options are listed.
The main criticism is value. Guests agree that standards are high, but some feel the room rates and extra fees are high too. Ask in advance which services, such as the spa, cost extra.
Price compared with our other two picks
The reference price was 79.66 euros per night. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room, not a live quote. The sample median in Opole was 78.78 euros, so this hotel sat almost exactly at the median. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Hotel Weneda, is a 3-star hotel that scored 8.7 at about 57.74 euros per night. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Piast, is a 4-star hotel that scored 9.3 at about 77.91 euros per night.
That last figure matters. On our reference dates, the Luxury pick was slightly cheaper than this one and is about 3 minutes from the cathedral by our estimate. Hygge Hotel wins on review score, spa and free parking. Hotel Piast wins on location. Compare both for your own dates.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible properties in Opole. The Best Value choice weighs the guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price, so it is not necessarily the cheapest. Hygge Hotel ranked first of the eight on review score, with 954 reviews, at a price right at the median.
Before you book
Room size, noise, the condition of the rooms, whether breakfast is included and the cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check each one in your rate details.
Ask whether the spa costs extra and what its hours are. If you bring a pet, confirm the rules and any fee. If you will rely on taxis, factor that cost into your comparison with the more central Hotel Piast.
