Iberostar Selection Andalucia Playa
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you want a five-star beach stay with a spa and attentive staff, and you plan to spend most of your time at the hotel and on the sand. If you want to explore on foot or keep costs down, our other two Chiclana picks cost about half as much.

This is a five-star beach hotel in Novo Sancti Petri. It suits couples and families who want a resort-style stay: the property lists a beachfront position, spa, pool, gym, restaurant, garden and terrace.
Skip it if you want to stroll to sights or into town. The places in our data are between 35 and 93 minutes away on foot. Swimmers who want a warm pool may also be disappointed, as some guests find the water cold.
Location and getting around
The address is Urbanización Novo Sancti Petri. Guests describe direct access to a clean, sandy beach via a short boardwalk, and the location score is 9.6 out of 10.
Further afield, our data puts Playa de la Barrosa at 2.8 km, about 35 minutes on foot, the Castle of Sancti Petri at 6.1 km, about 76 minutes, and the Ermita de Santa Ana at 7.4 km, about 93 minutes. All three are far by foot, so you will need a car, public transport or a taxi. These are straight-line estimates.
Parking is not confirmed in our data. If you are driving, ask the hotel about spaces and charges.
What guests say
The hotel scores 9.1 out of 10 from 643 reviews, joint second of the 6 eligible hotels in our sample.
Staff draw the most praise: friendly, professional and attentive. The beach access is the other favourite, with guests valuing the short boardwalk down to the shore.
The pool gets mixed comments. It is large and clean with comfortable loungers, but the water is cold and the area gets crowded. If pool time matters, check whether any pool is heated.
Price and how it compares with our other Chiclana picks
The reference price was €157.30 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Complejo Al Sur - by Grupo Tribu, was €68.01 per night with an 8.7 score. Our Best Value pick, Hipotels Playa La Barrosa - Adults Only, was €81 per night with a 9.2 score, slightly higher than this hotel. That one is adults only, so families should rule it out.
For roughly double the price of the other picks, you get five stars, a spa, direct beach access and a buffet breakfast, though inclusion of breakfast is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3

It also backs the stars with a 9.1 score from over 600 reviews and a 9.6 location score.
