This is a 2-star budget hotel, and it is our Budget pick for Le Puy-en-Velay. It works best for travellers arriving by train, couples on a short city break and anyone who mainly needs a bed, a shower and a short walk to the sights.
Families can look at it too, since the property lists family rooms and air conditioning. Our data also tags it as pet-friendly, but the exact pet policy and any fee are not confirmed, so ask the hotel before you bring an animal.
If you plan to spend long hours in the room, or you travel with bulky luggage, think twice. Some guests describe the units as spacious, while others find the sleeping area and the bathroom small. That split is the main reason to skip it.
Location and getting around
The address is 25, Avenue Charles Dupuy. Guests say the hotel sits opposite the train station, feels quiet and is a short walk from the city centre. The location score is 9.1 out of 10, which is higher than its overall score.
Le Puy Cathedral is about 0.6 km away, roughly 8 minutes on foot. The Musée Crozatier is about 0.8 km, around 10 minutes. Saint Michel d'Aiguilhe is about 1.1 km, around 14 minutes. These walking times are straight-line estimates, so real routes may take longer, and the old town has slopes.
All three sights are within walking distance. Parking is not listed in our data, so drivers should ask the hotel.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.5 out of 10 from 2,380 guest reviews.
Guests like two things most. First, the location: opposite the station, quiet and close to the centre. Second, the staff, described as a friendly, professional team that is ready to help.
The recurring complaint is room size. Opinions differ, with some calling the units spacious and others saying the sleeping area and bathroom feel small. Noise, renovation state and bed comfort have not been assessed in our data.
