Inn on Broadway is worth booking if you want the most upscale of our three Rochester picks and a central address at 26 Broadway. It costs more than twice our budget choice, so it suits travellers who value the higher category over saving money.

This is a four-star hotel with a guest score of 8.7 out of 10 from 271 reviews. It fits couples and business travellers who want a more polished stay in Rochester and plan to spend time around downtown, the river and the museums.
Skip it if price matters most. At a reference price of €281.96 a night, it is the most expensive of our three picks by a wide margin. If you mainly need a clean bed and parking, our Budget and Best Value choices cost much less.
One more caution: our data holds no summary of what guests liked or disliked here. The score is solid, but we cannot tell you which details drive it, so read recent reviews before you commit.
Location and getting around
The address is 26 Broadway, and the location score is 9 out of 10, one of the stronger signals in the data. Two sights are within walking range. High Falls is about 1.3 km away, roughly 16 minutes on foot. The George Eastman Museum is about 1.6 km away, roughly 20 minutes.
Sacred Heart Cathedral is a different story. At about 4.9 km, or some 61 minutes on foot, it is far, and you will want public transport or a taxi. All walking times are straight-line estimates, so real routes can take longer.
Free parking is listed by the property, which helps if you arrive by car. Confirm it applies to your dates and whether you need to reserve a space.
What guests say
The headline figure is 8.7 out of 10 across 271 reviews. That is a respectable sample, though smaller than many city hotels.
Our source did not give a breakdown of specific praise or complaints for this hotel. That means we cannot confirm anything about room size, noise, bed comfort or service style. Check the most recent guest comments for those points, especially noise if you are a light sleeper.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults was €281.96 a night, so about €564 for both nights. That is a reference, not a live quote. Check today's price for your own dates.
For comparison, our Budget pick, Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Rochester-Pittsford-Brighton, NY, scored 8.2 at €123.55 a night. Our Best Value pick, Staybridge Suites Rochester University by IHG, scored 9 at €190.47 a night. So the Best Value option actually scores higher here and costs about €91 less per night.
What the property lists: a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and free parking. Breakfast details are not confirmed in our data, so check whether it is included in your rate.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible properties in Rochester. Our method prefers five-star hotels for the luxury slot and accepts a four-star hotel only if it scores at least 8.5. Inn on Broadway clears that bar with 8.7, plus a strong location score of 9.
It earns the luxury place on category and location, not on value. If value is your main test, the Staybridge Suites is the stronger case.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check each one on the booking page for your dates.
Ask about parking if you are driving, confirm restaurant opening times, and compare the final price with our other two picks. A gap of over €150 a night against the budget option adds up quickly on a longer stay.
