JB Residency Hotel & Banquets !! Top Rated Family Hotel in Chandigarh Tricity is our Budget pick for Chandigarh. Note that "Top Rated" is part of the property's own name, not our rating. Even so, its guest score is genuinely strong: 9.2, the best of the 9 hotels we compared.
It suits budget travellers, families who need family rooms, and anyone with business in Zirakpur. It does not suit visitors who want to explore Chandigarh's sights on foot, and breakfast is not confirmed.
Location and getting around
The address is 33, Near Aura Gazania, Patiala Road Zirakpur, Chandigarh. The location score is 9.4 out of 10, which suggests guests are happy with the immediate area.
The measured sights are another matter. The Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh is about 11.8 km away, the Rock Garden of Chandigarh about 12 km and the Open Hand Monument about 12.8 km. As straight-line walking estimates, that is 148 to 160 minutes. These are far, so you will need public transport or a taxi for sightseeing. Factor that cost into the low room rate.
What guests say
The score is 9.2 out of 10 from 91 guest reviews. That placed it first of the 9 eligible properties in the sample. The review count is smaller than at our other two Chandigarh picks, so a few new reviews could move the score more.
We have no summarised guest comments for this property, positive or negative. Read recent reviews to see what guests say about rooms, noise and service.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €13.24 a night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates. The sample median was €120.80 a night, so this was 89% below the median.
Our Best Value pick, The Kaptain's Retreat, was €49.91 a night with a score of 8.9 and three stars, about 3.2 km from the Government Museum and Art Gallery. Our Luxury pick, JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh, was €158.38 with a score of 8.6 and five stars, at a similar distance. Both are much closer to the sights. This one wins clearly on price and score, and loses on location.
Listed facilities are family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace. It is a three-star property.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible hotels in Chandigarh. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice is set aside. At €13.24 a night, this property took it, and it also had the highest guest score in the sample.
