Family rooms are listed, so families can look here too. Skip it if bed comfort is your top concern: some guests describe mattresses as too hard or sagging.
Location and getting around
The address is Korte Nieuwstraat 15. St Martin's Church, Aalst is about 0.3 km away, around 4 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate.
Guests describe the setting as central and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, yet quiet. The location score is 9.2 out of 10.
Affligem Abbey (about 5.7 km, 71 minutes on foot) and the Collegiate Church of Saint Vincent in Soignies (about 6.5 km, 81 minutes on foot) are far. You will need public transport or a taxi for either.
What guests say
The overall score is 8.8 out of 10 from 612 reviews, joint second of three eligible properties in the provider sample. That is a large review base for a small city.
Breakfast gets praise as a tasty, fresh buffet with a wide variety of items. It is listed as continental, vegetarian and buffet.
The main complaint is bed comfort. Many guests find the beds comfortable, but some report mattresses that feel too hard or sagging.
Price and what you get against our other Aalst picks
The reference price was €158.06 a night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, equal to the sample median. These are reference prices, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Aparthotel Malpertuus, was €150.00 a night with a score of 9.4 and 4 stars. Our Best Value pick, Tower Hotel Aalst, was €181.36 a night with a score of 8.7 and 4 stars.
In Aalst the usual price ladder does not hold. Keizershof cost only about €8 more per night than the Budget pick and less than the Best Value pick. What it adds is a gym and a restaurant on site; what Malpertuus offers is a higher score from far fewer reviews.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible hotels in Aalst. Five-star hotels get priority for the Luxury slot; a 4-star fallback must score at least 8.5. Keizershof cleared that bar with 8.8 from 612 reviews.
Its mix of a central, quiet address, praised breakfast and on-site facilities made it the strongest upscale choice in the city sample.
