Le Champ des Oiseaux Hôtel & Spa
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want the best-rated stay in our Troyes sample, in a quiet old-town street a minute from the cathedral, and you accept a high price. Skip it if price per night drives your choice, because it cost more than our Luxury pick on the reference dates.

Couples on a weekend in the old town are the clearest fit. Guests rate the welcome highly and describe the street as central but quiet, which suits a slow, walkable break.
The property lists family rooms, and pets appear among its features. Check the pet conditions and any fee before booking.
Price-sensitive travellers should look elsewhere. On the reference dates this was the most expensive of our three Troyes picks, and some guests say room and meal prices feel unjustified.
Location and getting around
The address is 20 rue Linard Gonthier, in the Old Town. Guests give the location 9.8 out of 10.
Troyes Cathedral is about 0.1 km away, roughly a 1 minute walk. The Basilique Saint-Urbain de Troyes is about 0.4 km, around 5 minutes. The Rashi Synagogue is about 0.9 km, close to 11 minutes on foot. These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified, so allow a little extra time.
Parking is listed among the hotel's features, but the cost and number of spaces are not confirmed. Ask the hotel if you are driving.
What guests say
The score is 9.3 out of 10 from 417 reviews. That was joint first of the 8 eligible properties we looked at.
Staff get the strongest praise: friendly, helpful and professional, with a warm welcome. The second theme is position, central and quiet, close to the cathedral and the historic sites.
The recurring complaint is value for money. Some guests feel the prices for rooms and meals are higher than the experience justifies.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €259.43 per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
That is well above the sample median of €117.25 per night. Our Budget pick, B&B HOTEL Troyes Magasins d'usine, scored 8.2 with 3 stars at €73.19 per night. Our Luxury pick, La Licorne Hotel & Spa Troyes - MGallery Collection, scored 8.9 with 5 stars at €189.10 per night.
So on these dates you would pay about €70 more per night here than at the 5-star Luxury pick. What you get for it is the highest guest score in the city and a spot next to the cathedral. Listed facilities include a swimming pool, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and the hotel tags a spa. The only breakfast style listed is gluten-free, so check what is served and whether it is included.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible properties in Troyes. This one shared the top review score, with a location rating of 9.8.
The Best Value slot balances score, review count and price. Here the score carried the choice, so it is not the cheapest hotel and was not meant to be. If the November gap with La Licorne repeats on your dates, compare both before deciding.
